Here’s what’s going on in our community this week:
- Wildflower Fest Announces Bands: Fort Worth band, The Toadies, and Texas country legend, Robert Earl Keen, have both been announced to play this year’s Wildflower Festival. The annual arts and music event will take place May 17-19.
- The State of the City: Mayor Bob Townsend will give his annual State of the City address on January 30 at the Eisemann Center. This event is free to the public and can also be streamed online at the City of Richardson website.
- UTD Comets: Both men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to take on Louisiana College in Pineville, LA. The men are coming off a 59-46 victory over Trinity to improve their record to 12-4. The Lady Comets couldn’t hold off a second half offensive surge as they fell to Trinity on Monday, 71-66. This is only the third loss of the season for the Lady Comets.
- The Gardens of Canyon Creek/Downing Hill Garden Studio Celebration: We can’t believe it’s already been a year since they’ve been open at II Creeks. Come celebrate one year (and do some shopping) this Friday until 8pm. Cupcakes and champagne will be served.
